Watsky is the bomb. Really frickin’ intelligent and poetic rapping & musically sharp and interesting beats. Not on Spotify, but the 15 tracks on iTunes are well worth the £7.99 You can, alternatively, check him on http://www.youtube.com/gwatsky Might know him as the Pale Kid who Raps Fast. Strongly recommend his slam style poetry too.

It’s very good, angsty indie with fantastic lyrics. Favourite tracks are “Wouldn’t Women Be Sweet” and title track “Too Slow”. Get your spotify… [Read more…]

Hooray for a few of fun bands this summer: Mazes, surfy-pop-punky-west-coast sounding band from Manchester. Been working for One Little Indian and FatCat, who put out their album that came out yesterday for 3 months, this is my last week. The thing I think Mazes have really got down is having the bulk of songs… [Read more…]

So tonight some friends and I went to Aint Nothin’ But… blues bar in Soho, stones throw from Oxford Circus. The Good: Fabulous music, open mic/blues jam session every Monday has proven phenomenal in terms of fun and content, so expect even more from headlining acts. Hella good personality. Such a friendly bunch- both staff… [Read more…]

So I really like telling people about stuff. Especially music stuff. That’s one thing that I shall continuously be doing here. Also, I had quite a revelation recently about reviews, and my theory is that people can’t be bothered to read them. Reviews might be skimmed through and respected opinions taken into account, but ultimately… [Read more…]

For anyone who’s not aware, one Andrew Dubber (@dubber) declared a year ago that the 24th of October 2010 should be National Quit Myspace day. A little over one month ago, Dubber reminded us all of why we should be quitting Myspace, and why I did so as soon as I finished reading the article.… [Read more…]
